EXPERIENCE
Part-Time Faculty | Seattle Central Community College, 2020-present
As an instructor in the Creative Academy, I teach Packaging Design, Design Thinking, and Color Theory. This entails full curriculum and course design as well as leading lectures and studios.
Designer/Founder | Wyabago Design, 2018-present
As a freelance designer, I work on a wide range of projects, from structural packaging to branding and website design. Clients vary from startups to established companies.
Packaging Designer | Microsoft, 2016-2019
Our group guided creative visions for packaging across all commercial and consumer hardware lines. I balanced delivering immediate packaging needs with developing new areas for innovation and influence. In collaboration with our internal ID and UX teams, I championed an insights-driven process to develop the ideal out-of-box experience for users. As we looked forward and grew as a design team, I was responsible for leading our team’s Next Generation packaging initiatives. My natural inclination for storytelling meant I also led studio communication efforts- helping to frame and create presentations for senior leadership.
Brand & Innovation Designer | Pepsico, 2014-2016
One of the first three members of Chicago’s design team, I was an agile, hybrid designer, delivering structural packaging and supporting brand strategy efforts. In collaboration with R&D and Marketing, I worked to drive Pepsico’s packaging consolidation initiative.
Structural Packaging Designer | Studio One Eleven, 2012-2014
Developed custom bottles and closures for a wide variety of markets and managed projects from concept development through to production, collaborating with sales teams, clients, engineers and manufacturing teams across the country.
Industrial Designer | Design Central, 2011-2012
Generated new product and packaging concepts for CPG brands.
Industrial Design Co-Op | GE Appliances, 2010-2011
As part of the cooking appliance team, I studied on-product interaction design, building digital experiences for wall oven interfaces, designing cooktop artwork, and assisting in HCD studies.
